Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 7S packing a 48-megapixel camera in India the coming week, on the 20th of May. It’s confirmed that the phone will be sold by online marketplace Flipkart in India.
The phone will come with a dual rear camera setup, and one of which is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor. Xiaomi is yet to reveal details about the secondary and front camera of the Redmi Note 7S. However, Xiaomi has shared camera samples the Redmi Note 7S to highlight its imaging capabilities.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro as its first 48-megapixel camera phone in India back in late February. The smartphone was launched alongside the India-variant of the Redmi Note 7 with a starting price of Rs. 13,999 for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. It recorded over 2 million units sold within weeks.
Xiaomi is promoting the Redmi Note 7S with the (hashtag) #48MPforeveryone, which simply means the Redmi Note 7S will be affordable. The Redmi Note 7S is expected to come with a glass body and include Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back. It’ll pose a water drop notch. The phone is being promoted in red color, and it’s expected that the phone would be released in funky colors.
The firm is yet to reveal other details like battery, processor, software, front camera of the Redmi Note 7S. These details will be revealed by the company on Monday during the launch. However, the Redmi Note 7S is suspected to be cheaper than the Redmi Note 7 Pro which sells at INR₹ 13,999 in India.
