A plane bound to Malaysia had to turn back to Saudi Arabia after a passenger realised that she left her baby at the airport terminal.
The pilot of the Saudi Arabian Airlines flight made an unusual request to the Jeddah after take off as the passenger told the cabin crew she forgot her child at the airport.
The pilot’s conversation with the air traffic control at King Abdulaziz airport goes like, “May God be with us. Can we come back?” …the operator takes a minute to inform his colleague, “This flight is requesting to come back. A passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing.”
The pilot can be heard repeating to the air traffic operator: “I told you, a passenger has left her baby in the terminal and she is refusing to continue the flight.”
The air traffic controller then was heard saying, “OK, head back to the gate, This is totally a new one for us.”
