Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Bangar to be summoned by CoA following World Cup elimination

India suffered an eighteen run loss to New Zealand in the semifinals ending India’s 2019 World Cup dream on Wednesday. After India’s exit cricket experts, commentators and fans raised questioned about India’s approach during the crunch situation.

The coaching staff led by Ravi Shastri contract ended with the 2019 World Cup, however the management extended it by 45 days. Sections of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suggest that assistant coach Sanjay Bangar should’ve done a better job.

The BCCI believes that the bowling unit headed by Bharat Arun did wonderful, and so did the team’s fielding under R Sridhar. However, the batting unit has come under scanner.

While speaking with news agency IANS, senior BCCI officials said that constant change in the middle order hurt the Indian team and batting coach, Sanjay Bangar did not find solutions to fix the mess.

Meanwhile, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) has called for a meeting with head coach Ravi Shastri and Captain Virat Kohli. They would be asked tough questions about the loss, game plan and exclusion of Ambati Rayudu.
