The platform with over 320 million people has users desperate for an edit button on their tweets.
In an interview Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said the company would “probably never” add the edit feature on tweets as it could aid in the fake news.
The cheeky tweet stirred a controversy. Many accused Twitter for picking sides and getting political after publicly revealing its stance on ‘face mask vs no face mask’ debate.
Wearing masks in the Americas and Europe has become a contentious issue. Especially in the United States people have staged protests against orders making masks compulsory.
World Health Organization in June said face masks should be worn in places where the virus is widespread and physical distancing is difficult.
