The Chief Executive Officer of Twitter and other top officials of the company were summoned by the parliamentary panel on information technology to appear before on the 25th of February 2019.
The 31 member panel committee passed a resolution that they’ll not meet any other official until their top, global bosses appear before them. The panel is headed by BJP lawmaker Anurag Thakur.
Representatives from Twitter India reached the parliament complex to attend the meet scheduled today but were not called in due to absence of CEO and other global leads.
On 1st February the panel summoned Twitter including their CEO Jack Dorsey for a meeting on the 7th of February, that was postponed to today, the 11th of February after twitter cited short notice of hearing.
