Three Black Friday shoppers stabbed in The Hague

Three people have been stabbed in an attack on a busy shopping street in The Hague.

Police said they were still searching for a suspect and no arrests had been made after the attack at about 8pm local time.

Three people were treated in hospital, but were later able to go home.

The incident happened at the Hudson’s Bay store in the city’s Grote Marktstraat or main market square area, which was busy with people looking for Black Friday deals.

Images on social media showed dozens of shoppers running away from the scene.

An area near the town’s historic centre was cordoned off, and dozens of police and ambulances were on the scene.

The police have asked help from the eyewitnesses nearby. Officials have also requested the public to share images or footage of the stab attack.
