Tesla in India by close of 2019?

One of the world’s most innovative car makers Tesla motors will be coming to India before the end of 2019.

The company’s CEO Elon Musk tweeted about expansion plans in September 2018 after the company posted profits. Elon tweeted, “Hopefully, partial presence in India, Africa & South America end of next year, with broader expansion in 2020.”

The SpaceX CEO has always shown interest to enter India. Earlier in May 2018, Elon tweeted about strict government regulations was holding expansion plans. His Indian board members are working on the bottlenecks to roll out an India release soon.

Mr. Musk also had given a presentation of the vehicle to Prime Minister Modi in 2015. However there has been no movement ever since.

The CEO Elon Musk a week back had broke ground for a Tesla manufacturing factory in Shanghai. The carmaker hopes to complete the construction work by summer and start producing its cheapest car, the Model 3, by the end of the year.

Tesla had set an initial target to manufacture 2,50,000 cars a year but eventually scale up production to 5,00,000.

Musk believes that affordable cars must be made in the same continents of the customer. However the ongoing trade war and the declining Chinese economy might just be bad for the innovative carmaker.
