Indian music company, T-Series’s Youtube channel finally surpassed Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie’s channel to become the biggest YouTube channel in the world.
At present T-series are leading by 30,000 subscribers, and were at 90.51 million subscribers, while PewDiePie is at 90.48 million.
The battle between the two channels have been going on for a while now, T-series owner Bhushan Kumar started #BharatWins campaign on social media urging people to subscribe to T-series.
PewDiePie who is an individual Youtuber unlike T-series which is a company, made a rap battle song “Bitch Lasagna”. The song received heavy criticism from India for it’s lyrics targeting T-series and India.
Plenty of Bollywood celebrities Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and John Abraham joined the battle to garner support for T-series. Meanwhile, PewDiePie got support from other youtubers Logan Paul, Jake Paul and Mo Vlogs.
T-series got a sudden wave of subscribers after it posted the trailer starring Vivek Oberoi in, and as “PM Narendra Modi”.
