In an unexpected episode at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi a shoe was hurled at GVL Narasimha Rao while the BJP MP and spokesperson was defending the candidature of Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Thakur at a press conference.
The man who hurled the shoe was a doctor, he was immediately overpowered and detained, he identified himself as Shakti Bhargava. He targeted the shoe at Rajya Sabha MP just in time when he had been lashing out at the opposition for questioning the candidature of Pragya Thakur from Bhopal against Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh.
Rao defending Sadhvi Pragya’s candidature said, “The Congress and inspired parties like Samajwadi Party and National Conference… What problem do you have with Sadhvi being fielded as a BJP candidate? In the 10 years (since the 2008 Malegaon attack), the Congress has defamed the Hindu society at the altar of vote bank politics, mastered by Rahul Gandhi”.
The doctor missed the MP by a whisker, but the scene left the parliamentarian stunned. The BJP leader then regained his composure and blamed the attack on the Congress, while Bhargava was removed from the hall by security guards and BJP workers.
It’s unknown if Shakti Bhargava was a Congress member, however what’s clear is that Bhargava was against the inclusion of terror accused Pragya running for public office.
People of India are fed up with BJP's lies, fakery and hate politics. They have started venting their anger – a shoe was hurled at BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao during a press conference at BJP HQs.#ModiNeverAgain #BJP420Party
