Samsung launched their first foldable phone on Wednesday at the Galaxy Unpacked 2019 event in San Francisco.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold comes in two screens in one device one main flexible display of 7.3 inch and the other secondary screen of 4.6 inch. The luxury device goes on sale in April this year in selected markets.
The company uses an infinity flex display on the 7.3 inch screen, which can turn into a compact device that can easily fit into your pockets.
The Korean phone maker claimed that it had worked from ground-upwards in the manufacturing process, as it’s very different from traditional methods.
The Galaxy Fold uses some form of sophisticated hinges that are cleverly hidden to interlock displays. This makes the phone look very elegant.
The phone comes with six cameras, fingerprint scanner and Octa core processors.
The Galaxy Fold will be available from the 26th of April 2019 in select countries around the world. It’s price has been set at US$ 1980 i.e. INR₹ 1,41,300 and will be offered in four colours – Green, Blue, Silver and Black. The company says they’ll sell two variants one 4G LTE and another 5G.
