Pune: Six Year Old Boy Trapped in Borewell

A six year old boy has fallen into a 200 feet borewell on the 20th of February 2019 at a village in Pune’s Ambegaon, at around 4:30 pm.

The boy is stuck at about 10 feet in the 200 feet deep borewell.

The police and the National Disaster Response Force have reached the site to help with the rescue work.

The NDRF statement reads –

“As per information received from SHO Ambegaon Police Station, a 6-year-old boy is trapped in a borewell at about 10 feet depth at a village in Ambegaon, Pune. Total depth of borewell is about 200 feet, one team moved towards the site of incident.”

Ambegaon village is 70 kilometers away from Pune, Maharashtra.

The borewell was part of a farm. Road construction work was going on the area, the boy fallen belongs to one of the labourers.

A team from the NDRF has reached the site, oxygen is being supplied in the borewell.

Heavy construction equipment reached the site, and digging was underway.

The boy seems to be little big for the borewell, that’s why he may have not fallen any further beyond 10 feet.

The medical condition of the boy seems okay, as he was talking. The NDRF personnel leading the rescue operations hope to rescue the boy safely at the earliest.
