This was their first meeting since Robert Mueller concluded his investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.

World leaders have descended in Japan’s Osaka to attend the annual G20 Summit. President Trump held talks with Australian counterpart, Japan’s Prime Minister Abe, India’s Prime Minister Modi, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and of course President Putin.
On Day 2 of the Summit, President Trump would hold talks with China’s President Xi Jinping. Trade would be on priority for the two leaders. They last met at another G20 summit in Buenos Aires last year and, following a working dinner, they agreed on a 90 day truce to their trade war.
