Passenger bus rams into truck on Yamuna Expressway, 8 killed

8 people were killed and about 30 others were injured when a privately operated double-decker bus rammed into a stationary truck on the Yamuna Expressway, in Greater Noida early Friday morning.

The bus was on its way to Noida from Agra. The incident took place under Rabupura police station when its brake failed and it rammed into a truck going in the same direction at around 5 am.

Police said, all the injured have been admitted to nearby Kailash Hospital in Jewar for treatment and bodies have been sent for post-mortem.




The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath had directed the local administration to provide all assistance to the victims.

Government officials said, “The chief minister has taken cognisance of the bus accident in Greater Noida where eight passengers have died. He has directed the district administration and the police to provide all assistance. The district magistrate and the senior superintendent of police are reaching the accident site.”
