OnePlus mid-range Nord to feature 5G integrated Snapdragon 765G chip

The OnePlus mid-range smartphone will most likely feature a he Snapdragon 765G chip after a tweet from Qualcomm’s EU branch said that they “are excited to work with OnePlus as they embark on new beginnings”.

The Snapdragon 765G chip is Qualcomm’s first chipset with an integrated 5G modem. This was further confirmed by OnePlus founder, Carl Pei.

The  mid-range smartphone will be named OnePlus Nord and not  OnePlus 8 Lite/Z as reported earlier. Mr. Pei in the interview said that Nord was chosen from a pool of 400 names.




OnePlus Nord:

The phone is rumoured to come with dual selfie camera setup. A 32-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary shooter, similar to the recently launched Realme X3 series.

The display is suppose to be AMOLED in nature, with a screen size of 6.4-6.5 inches running at a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The phone is expected to be made available in two variants, with either 8GB or 12 GB of RAM and storage of 128GB or 256 GB.



The phone is expected to be priced under $500, which is about ₹35,000 in India.

The company with this cheaper handset is targeting users from India and Europe. The launch date of the handset is not yet announced but its rumoured around July 10..
