New York cops get drenched by buckets of water thrown at them

Online posts on Monday show uniformed NYPD cops getting drenched with buckets of water by brazen young men in Harlem and Brooklyn.

In the altercations the cops did not engage with individuals and ignored the situation.

However, later NYPD released images of the suspects and made a few arrests.

NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan called the attacks “reprehensible.”

“NYC’s cops & communities have made remarkable progress — together — but EVERY New Yorker MUST show respect for our cops. They deserve nothing less,” Monahan wrote.

One of the clips also shows a soaked cop getting beaned in the back of the head with an empty, red plastic bucket while the cop and his partner were handcuffing a suspect on the hood of a black car.

The incident where the cop getting hit with the bucket shows a man pick up the bucket and hurl it at the cop, prompting several bystanders to exclaim, “Oh!” as it bounces off his head.
