A 30-year-old man went on a stabbing spree, killing two persons and injuring five others, before being overpowered by police personnel in the Indian city of Bangalore, police said.
The man, Ganesh went to a butcher’s shop at Cottonpet area to purchase meat, stole a knife from there, ran away and stabbed six people at random on Sunday.
One man died the same day, while another was critically injured and was in the Intensive Care Unit. He died on Monday.
Ganesh has been booked for murder and attempt to murder, police said, adding that the motive behind the attack was not known.
Ganesh’s family claims he is mentally unstable.
