KL Rahul Steers Kings XI Punjab To A Victory Against Mumbai Indians

Kings XI Punjab claimed a comfortable win against Mumbai Indians at their home turf in Mohali on Saturday.

KXIP innings was powered by KL Rahul, who scored an unbeaten on 71 off 57 balls, helping KXIP reach the 177 run target in only 18.4 overs. This was KXIP’s second win in three games they played so far.

Hardik Pandya who bowled the 15th over, turned the match in KXIP’s favour with 19 runs coming off it, later Rahul hit Jasprit Bumrah for successive fours to close the match.




Chris Gayle grabbed 40 off 24 balls, he smashed some big sixes before being taken by the Pandya brothers. Mayank Agarwal too got 43 off 21 balls.

Pandya brothers together gave away 82 runs to KXIP, Krunal gave away 43 runs in his four overs, while Hardik gave 39 runs in three overs. However, Hardik contributed with the bat as the middle order of Mumbai Indians collapsed.

Quinton de Kock picked 60 runs in 39 balls, Kock hit six boundaries and two sixes in his innings.



Captain Rohit Sharma got a decent 32 off 18 balls with five fours.

Hardik Pandya had to walk in when Mumbai were at 146 for five, Hardik ensured to get MI to a safe total of 176, but it was not enough to contain KXIP.
