Key Planner of Pulwama Attacks Neutralised in Tral Encounter

Key planner of the Pulwama terror attacks was killed in an encounter with security forces in Tral area of south Kashmir.

Mudasir Ahmed Khan alias ‘Mohd Bhai’ the suspect behind the Pulwama terror attacks was killed along with two other terrorists during the operation in Pinglish area of Tral in Pulwama district.

The bodies of the three terrorists are charred beyond recognition. Off the three killed, one is believed to be a foreigner, authorities are working to identify him.




Mudasir Ahmed Khan is suspected to have arranged the vehicle and explosives that were used in the suicide attack on 14th February that killed 40 CRPF personnels. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) who is probing the Pulwama terror attack searched his residence on the 27th of February.

Khan believed to be 23 years old, was an electrician with a graduate degree holder and a resident of Pulwama. He joined the terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed in 2017.

He is also believed to be involved in a terror strike at the army camp in Sunjawan in February 2018, in which six personnel and a civilian were killed and Lethpora attack on a CRPF camp in January 2018 which left five CRPF personnel dead.



Security forces launched an offensive last night after receiving intelligence input about their presence in the area.
