Indonesia Tsunami Toll Jumps To 168

The death toll climbed to 168 after eruption of Anak Krakatoa volcano triggered a tsunami. Over 800 people are injured.

As the search and rescue teams widens it’s operational area the figures will only rise even further.
The worst affected area was the Pandeglang region of Banten province in Java. This region has popular tourist beaches and national park.

There is still the potential for another tsunami as Krakatoa is still active. There are high tide warnings in place until tomorrow and people are being urged to stay away from the coast for the time being.




The coastal town of Anyer has debris everywhere and some houses totally flattened.

Local rock band Seventeen were performing at a resort on Tanjung Lesung beach when the tsunami hit. 4 members of the band are still missing, the bands manager will killed.
