Indian police arrest five people for putting up posters criticizing Indian PM Narendra Modi. The posters were put up in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj.
The hoardings highlights the rising prices of essential commodities and unemployment in the country.
According to police, the five people have been arrested with the ‘intention’ to defame Prime Minister Modi.
Among the arrested was a person associated with the printers which made the hoardings.
The people arrested allegedly have links to an opposing party to Mr. Modi’s.
The hoardings carry a picture of Modi, presented in a cartoon form, holding a cooking gas cylinder in his hands while the price of a cylinder.
It also says: “You have taken away many lives during farm laws protest” and “Dreams of youth have been killed by contract jobs”.
The main message of the hoarding is conveyed as “#ByeByeModi”.
