All-rounder James Neesham took to social media making an appeal to Indian cricket fans to resell their tickets for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 final if they no longer wanted to watch it from the stands on the official platform for resale.
Indian fans had purchased a large number of tickets for the World Cup 2019 final scheduled to be held at Lord’s in London. Most expected India to play the World Cup 2019 Finals at Lord’s, however India were eliminated in the semi-finals by New Zealand in Manchester on Wednesday.
Nearly 15,000 tickets out of 30,000 for the World Cup 2019 final at Lord’s were originally bought by the Indian fans. 41% of the ticket holders were registered as India supporters.
Neesham requested the Indian fans to sell their World Cup 2019 final tickets to “genuine cricket fans” in case they aren’t interested.
Dear Indian cricket fans. If you don’t want to come to the final anymore then please be kind and resell your tickets via the official platform. I know it’s tempting to try to make a large profit but please give all genuine cricket fans a chance to go, not just the wealthy ❤️ 🏏

International Cricket Council had said that the tickets for the final between England and New Zealand have already been sold for more than GBP£ 2,000.
Now the resale price of the ticket costs close to 50 times the original price.
In Indian currency the tickets are being sold anywhere between INR₹ 10 lakhs to 16 lakhs.
