The Indian army has neutralised 6 terrorists in the India’s state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The encounter is taking place in the Anantnag district of Kashmir valley.
Heavy amounts of arms and ammunition have been recovered, the operations are not yet done. The Indian army would comb the area for any more danger before it clears it.
As the news has come out this morning, it could’ve been overnight operations.
Indian Army’s 3 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and police jointly conducted the ongoing operation.
The exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists began in the early hours in Bijbehara area of the district.
The operations are still underway.

Security agencies received intelligence input based on which a joint operation was launched. The team consisted of RR, SOG (Special Op Group) and CRPF troops. All the 6 terrorist killed had links with Hizbul Mujahideen and LeT.
The J&K police confirmed that among the 6 neutralised, 2 belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen and 4 others were from LeT. The Hizbul terrorists killed were commanders for Anantnag, district.
