IN PICTURES: California Apple Fire

The Apple fire that started in Riverside County’s Cherry Valley, California, east of Los Angeles has grown to a size of 26,450 acres, forcing over 7,800 people to evacuate.

The fire began on Friday evening last week. Over 2,200 firefighting personnel deployed have 5% contained of the blaze.

Dry  vegetation, high temperatures and low humidity has helped the fires grow in size.
