India’s largest private airline, IndiGo airlines on Monday said its systems were down across the entire network, and that this could lead to delay in operations.
“Our systems have been down across the network since morning. As a result, we are expecting our operations to be impacted across the airports. All efforts are being made to resolve the issue at the earliest,” the airline said in a statement.
The flight operator further said it regrets the inconvenience caused to passengers and asked them to reach out to their customer care on social media if they need assistance.
“We regret the inconvenience caused to all our passengers. While we are proactively informing them about the situation, for assistance, we request all passengers to contact us on our social media handles or reach out to our customer care,” IndiGo said.
Passengers that were travelling with the airline reported long serpentine queues at airport counters.
At least nine flights have been delayed in Mumbai, added the airline. Passengers should note that there could be further delays throughout the day.
The cause of the service disruption has not been revealed.
This is not the first time that IndiGo passengers have had to face a difficult time. In July, thousands of passengers were left stranded after a server glitch delayed 63 flights at the Bengaluru airport for more than half-an-hour.
