In a goof up of the Starbucks coffee cup in the fourth episode of the finals season of Game of Thrones, HBO said that Daenerys Targaryen ordered herbal tea, but she received a latte by mistake.
Fans went crazy on social media after they spotted a misplaced takeaway cup placed on Daenerys' table in a scene when the heroes gather to celebrate their victory at the Battle of Winterfell.
The director Hauke Richter said it is not unusual for random items to end up misplaced on set, go unnoticed and appear in the final cuts. "Things can get forgotten on set. [Coffee cup was] so blown out of proportion .."
The show's executive producer, Bernadette Caulfield in an interview said, "Westeros was the first place to have Starbucks, it's a little-known fact. If that's the worst thing that they're finding, we're in good shape."
Soon after the airing of episode four, users started tweeting with #starbucks.
The coffee chain, Starbucks took the opportunity to publicise the 'Dragon Drink', a pink tropical-inspired blend of sweet mango and dragon fruit flavours.
