The biopic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi played by actor Vivek Anand Oberoi, has rushed into trouble even before it’s release. Strangely the trouble does not have anything to do with Model Code of Conduct, but instead for giving credits to Javed Akhtar for his lyrics.
The poet-lyricist says he has not written any songs for the film “PM Narendra Modi”. Akhtar’s denial on Twitter stirred up a storm and quickly became a top trend.
Am shocked to find my name on the poster of this film. Have not written any songs for it ! pic.twitter.com/tIeg2vMpVG

The biopic’s trailer towards the end shows the credits, and Mr Akhtar said he was “shocked to find his name” there.
Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan supported Javed Akhtar and called the credit “defamatory”.
Twitter was divided, haters questioned if he was the lone Javed Akhtar in the film industry.
The producer of the film Sandeep Singh clarified that his movie used old Bollywood songs, therefore credit was given to the respective lyricist.
“We have taken the songs ‘Ishwar Allah’ from the film ‘1947: Earth’ and the song ‘Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon’ from the film ‘Dus’ in our film, thus we have given the due credits to respective lyricists Javed Sahab and Sameer Ji. @TSeries is our Music partner,” the producer tweeted.
The film PM Narendra Modi directed by Omung Kumar, had also directed Sarbjit and Mary Kom. The trailer was launched at a multiplex in Mumbai, the movie is scheduled to be released on the 5th of April.
