Facebook family of applications is suffering it’s wost outage in its history.
The services are unusable worldwide, Facebook’s main products WhatsApp and Instagram have been affected. The cause of the outage was still not shared by facebook, however they ruled out Distributed Denial of Service attack (DDoS) where cyber attackers target servers with high volume of traffic.
The company said they “We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible”.

Facebook which sees 2.3 billion users each month went down at 16 hours GMT on Wednesday. Facebook’s main service appeared to load, users reported not being able to post.While Instagram were not able to refresh feeds or post new material.
DownDetector monitors social networking websites reported that the issue also affected Facebook Workplace, the companies service for businesses to communicate internally.
Wherever there is such an outage, users flock to twitter to verify.

Towards the end of writing the article Instagram and Whatsapp seemed to been up for me, however Facebook was lagging.
