Explosion at Pulgaon Army depot in Maharashtra Wardha

Death toll stands at 4, but injury toll climbs to 11.The demolition of old explosives was taking place at the depot while the explosion occurred.

Among the 4 killed in this freak accident, 3 were labourers and 1 was staff at the Pulgaon Army depot.


Four persons died and six were injured in an explosion in Pulgaon Army depot in Maharashtra’s Wardha on Tuesday morning. The blast occurred when the team was destroying explosives at the depot.

The impact of the blast was so strong that several nearby villages reported hearing a loud explosion.
