Health experts across the world have been advocating the use of face masks as a major preventive measure against the novel coronavirus. Despite this, many people in different parts of the globe have been flouting rules by not wearing the mask.
In a recent incident, a drunk woman was asked to get off a plane bound for Ibiza, Spain after she refused to wear her face mask and abused authorities.
Hayley Box, 34, who is a single parent of two children, had apparently consumed a bottle of wine at the hotel and had another glass of it at the airport before boarding the Ryanair flight at Manchester Airport.
The prosecutor said that the woman was constantly abusing the cabin crew as well as the cops. When the crew members asked her to leave the plane since she did not have a passport, Box began to abuse.
Further, she also went on to the extent of putting on a seat belt when asked to get off the aircraft.
In a court hearing Box said she was ashamed of her actions. She also added that she was going through a bad phase due to the death of her close friend and was also without sleep.
The lawyer also mentioned that her client was in such a condition that she does not even recollect being on the plane. The woman was later let off by paying a substantial fine of £120.
Box runs a business which gives out beauty treatments plus anti wrinkle injection injections.
