Dog delivers groceries to quarantined neighbour in Colorado

A story of a dog and its hooman helping out their neighbour in quarantine is going viral and it is leaving viewers overwhelmed.

According to Fox95, in Colorado, a state in the US, a dog named Sunny delivers groceries to his sick neighbour daily, who is in quarantine due to the novel virus.

Renee Hellman, who Sunny delivers the groceries to, has COPD and other medical conditions which make her vulnerable to Covid-19. And since she cannot go outside to buy groceries, her neighbour Karen and her dog decided to help her out.

Karen trained Sunny to get the list from Renee everyday and take the items to her every night.

The video was shared on YouTube by a channel called Kol Damir.

“He’s a hero for sure. She (Renee) could not believe it, she always runs to the window to see that ‘Oh my God I can’t believe he did it again, and again, and again,'” Karen told Fox.

“He (Sunny) just did it, it was, all of a sudden, and he was here, and that’s my job, and I’m gonna do it so it was wonderful,” Renee said.

While Sunny obviously gets treats out of the whole routine, according to the channel, he loves doing the job. “He does get his treats; he’s motivated by those for sure. But he’s really special to me, and I’d be lost without him because he helps me so much, so I wanted him to help other people. That’s exactly what he did. Pretty proud,” Karen explained.
