Christchurch gunman’s video asks users to subscribe to PewDiePie

Famous Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie has found himself in yet another controversy today during the New Zealand Christchurch attacks. The attacker who livestreamed the violent act took the YouTuber’s name and asked people to subscribe to his channel.

The attacker who posted the video on Facebook, was seen loading his weapon multiple times and firing indiscriminately at people in the mosques. What’s now being called as a terrorists attack, has 49 fatalities and over 20 injured.

He starts the video by saying, “Remember lads, subscribe to Pewdiepie.”

After the tweet with the video went viral on the internet, PeweDiePie responded saying he condemns the anti-Semitic feelings and wishes the families affected well.

The youtuber offered his condolences and distanced himself from the attacker

The most subscribed youtuber PewDiePie head on with T-series to gain the maximum number of subscribers on YouTube. The gunman’s statement of asking people to subscribe to PewDiePie was also directed at this war between him and T-Series.
