CCTV caught moments of the Brazil dam collapse that killed 300

The world woke up to watch a shocking CCTV footage that shows the horrifying moments of the mining dam collapse in Brazil. The catestrope left over 300 people dead or missing.

The disaster occurred on the 25th of January in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil.

Footage obtained by the Brazilian TV channel “TV Globo” caught the exact moments of the horror. The powerful sludge surges through destroying every bit on its way, roads, buildings and villages.




A ceremony was held at the site where the fatal tragedy occurred. Police helicopters released flower petals over the ruined area. A priest was called to say a prayer in front of a tall cross that was erected in the mud.

The company that owns the ore mine ‘Vale’ was ordered to pay up US$ 66 million in fines for various violations – this is Brazil’s worst environmental penalties. Additionally the state judge ordered to freeze assets of Vale worth US$ 1.3 billion.
