Google Pixel 3 Lite XL was spotted on the GeekBench Browser, this could probably be Google’s entry into the budget phone segment.
Rumors first revealed the Pixel Lite XL with 6GB RAM, then 4GB RAM, and now 3GB RAM. The clipset was also graded down in successive rumors, first revealed with a Snapdragon 710 but the latest say MSM8953 which is a Snapdragon 625.
The Snapdragon 625 is 3 years old chip, and it’s sad if Google fits in an outdated chip to make it a budget smartphone. Perhaps Google may target the Pixel 3 Lite XL in emerging markets like India, South America and Africa where premium smartphones are very expensive for the average income people.
Google will be looking to sell the smartphone for a competitive price, between US$ 750 – US$ 450. It could target customers of the OnePlus 6T or Honor View 20.
The Pixel 3 Lite XL is rumored to have a 12MP camera with Google’s HDR+ prowess. It’s also expected that phone will have a 6-inch display with no notch, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
We don’t know if Google intends to launch the device, but they are testing one for sure.
