The Bharatiya Janata Party announced another list of candidates today. The list contains prominent BJP face, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, he is BJP’s candidate from Bihar’s Patna Sahib.
The sitting Member of Parliament Shatrughan Sinha was snubbed, Sinha an outspoken party worker may now contest as an independent or maybe fielded as a Congress candidate.
Shatrughan Sinha, who is an active critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has grown progressively sharper among the opposition. He publicly criticized the party leadership and the Prime Minister on multiple occasions.
The Actor turned politician, also attended West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s mega opposition rally in January. He told the gathering, “Even if I’m part of the BJP, I speak for the people and the country first. During Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s time, the focus was “lokshahi” or democracy but now in PM Modi’s time it is “tanashahi” or dictatorship.”
Shatrughan Sinha publicly declared that he would contest from Patna Sahib, no matter even if it meant joining another party.
The BJP today announced 39 candidates for the polls in Bihar. BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy from Saran, Giriraj Singh from Begusarai, Ashwini Kumar Choubey from Buxar, and Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh will contest from East Champaran.
