Ten-year-old Paige Ormiston had been to amusement park in Australia to enjoy rides, but she got hit by a large bird.
The young girl was struck by a bird on her forehead during a roller coaster ride at the Movie World in Queensland. The incident has been captured in a video and shared by Paige’s mother Nicole Ormiston on Facebook.
Paige was visibly shocked as the bird hit her and it took her a few seconds to understand what had happened.
The post reads: “Paige just got hit by an ibis while riding front seat on the DC rival hypercoaster with uncle Mitch
@movieworldaus. She had feathers on her and a beak scratch on her right shoulder. She’s completely shocked, a little bruised but ok 😮 not sure about the bird? How can you not buy that video 😂”
The video has garnered a lot of attention on Facebook.
While speaking to 9 News about the incident Paige said: “I was very scared, I didn’t know what to do because I was stuck in a chair. I saw it was white but I didn’t know what it was at first.”
