Australia Level Test Series 1-1

Australia win the second test match by 146 runs, it knocked out India’s last 5 batsman for a petty 28 runs to level the four match Test series to 1-1.

India’s middle order and the tail ends were exposed to the Aussie bowling lineup. This was the first test match win for Australia since the bowl tampering scandal in Cape Town early this March.

Also the win was special as it was the first match played at the Optus stadium in Perth, and witnessed Australia’s win.

There was a lot of pressure on Virat Kohli who scored a marvellous 123 runs in the first innings, and his verbal spat with Paine magnified the pressure.

India had to get 287 runs in the second innings to win the test match.

Our chase started to a horror, four quick wickets before 55 included captain Kohli. Things improved as a partnership was growing between Rahane and Vihari, but it faltered when Rahane was dismissed.

Hopes were pinned against youngsters Rishabh Pant and Hanuma Vihari on the 5th day,  but we failed to stand the Australian bowling. The match was done in an hours of play.

Australia 326 and 243

India 283 and 140
