Astrologer Bejan Daruwalla dies at 89, he predicted end of coronavirus by mid-May

Noted Astrologer Bejan Daruwalla passed away, tweeted Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani on Friday. The astrologer was 89. “Saddened by the demise of renowned Astrologer Shri Bejan Daruwalla. I pray for the departed soul. My condolences. Om Shanti…,” Rupani said in a tweet.

Bejan Daruwalla had made predictions of some of the high profile politicians including former prime ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Morarji Desai and current PM Narendra Modi.

PTI reported that Apollo Hospital confirmed that Daruwalla died during treatment for pneumonia.

Several sections of the media have reported that the astrologer had contracted coronavirus but this is still to be confirmed by members of his family.

As per details on his website, Bejan Daruwalla was acknowledged as one of the 100 great astrologers in the last 1000 years.

In a video circulating on social media, the astrologer had predicted that the deadly Coronavirus pandemic will come to an end by middle of May, 2020.

The revered astrologer has been Bollywood’s go-to astrologer for years. In 2018, he suffered from a brain stroke. He had been admitted to a Mumbai hospital but gradually recovered before passing away on May 29, 2020.

Daruwalla also worked as a professor of English in Ahmedabad. Despite being a Parsi, Daruwalla was an ardent follower of Hindu Lord Ganesha. Bejan Daruwalla’s astrological techniques is a combination of Indian and Western Astrology, I-Ching, Tarot reading, the Kabalah and Palmistry.
