Former India captain and coach Anil Kumble has been re-appointed as chairman of the ICC Cricket Committee to serve for a final three year term.
The decision was announced by the ICC Board in a meeting in Dubai on Saturday. Kumble was made the chairman of the committee first in 2012, he remained chairman since then.
The ICC reassured the BCCI that ICC in partnership with ECB has robust security plan for the Men’s world cup 2019 to ensure security of all the players and fans.
The ICC Board took the decision to have a women’s committee to provide greater strategic focus for the women’s cricket.
The board was updated on the WADA concerns in relation to domestic anti-doping programme in India. The committee will work with BCCI’s WADA and India NADA to resolve all outstanding issues.
