A flight parked at the Mumbai airport was greeted by an unlikely passenger on Monday. A huge owl was found inside the cockpit of the airplane. The owl was captured by the Mumbai International Fire Department and handed over to the Forest department.
The bird was perched near the left seat in the cockpit that is used by the flight commander.
People on social media from India called it a good omen saying it brings good luck.
Owls are believed to bring money and luck to any place they visit as it is the ‘vahan’ (vehicle) of the goddess of wealth and prosperity, Goddess Lakshmi.
The aircraft in which the owl was found was a Boeing 777, it belonged to Jet Airways.
Hope the owl does good for the airline as it dug itself in a deep financial crisis.
