The United States have asked Pakistan to take "meaningful action" against terrorist organizations in Pakistan a day after India destroyed major terrorist camps in Pakistan.
The Trump administration have called for India and Pakistan to "exercise restraint" amind the escalation.
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had spoken to both India and Pakistan's foreign ministers, his statement said, "We encourage India and Pakistan to exercise restraint, and avoid escalation at any cost. I also encouraged both ministers to prioritise direct communication and avoid further military activity."
Mr Pompeo in talks with Mr Qureshi stressed on "the priority of de-escalating current tensions by avoiding military action, and the urgency of Pakistan taking meaningful action against terrorist groups operating on its soil."
The tensions between both the neighbouring countries India and Pakistan are at the highest level, twelve days after the Pulwama bombings sponsored by Pakistan terrorist group JeM killing 40 Indian CRPF personnel, India dropped 1000 kilogram bombs in air strikes on three terror camps inside Pakistani soil.
