The Congress leader Sajjan Kumar was found guilty by the Delhi High Court and was sentenced to life in jail. Sajjan Kumar was acquitted for his role in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots by the Trial Court.
Sajjan Kumar was convicted in the killing of five members of a family at Raj Nagar in Delhi. He has been asked to surrender by the 31st of December 2018 and cannot leave the city.
More than 3,000 people were killed by mobs after the assassination of former prime minister Indira Gandhi in November 1984 by her Sikh bodyguards.

Justice for the victims of 1984 was buried by the Congress – the NDA restored fairness and accountability.

I welcome Delhi High Court verdict convicting Sajjan Kumar in 1984 riots case.
It has been a very long n painful wait for innocent victims who were murdered by those in power.
Nobody involved in any riot should be allowed to escape no matter how powerful the individual maybe.
