A teenager triggered a false alarm after carrying a Lego gun in Germany.
A 15-year-old, who was wearing a camouflage outfit and holding what appeared to be a rifle, was running up and down the street in the southern German town of Lindau.
A large-scale police operation was involved after a restaurant owner mistook the Lego toy gun he was carrying for a real weapon.
“Of course, we had to go immediately,” an officer from Lindau police told Lindauer Zeitung.
Local media reported several patrol cars as well as federal police were drafted in to stop the teenager.
The boy, who has not been named, was found to be armed not with a real weapon but a gun made from Lego bricks.
Earlier this year, Lego asked a gun company to stop producing a product that looked like its toys. Lego said in a statement at the time that the company had agreed to remove the product from its website and not sell anything similar in the future.
